Jenny Orchard

Jenny was born, raised and educated in Bendigo.

She was admitted to legal practice in 1989 after graduating from Monash University with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Jurisprudence.

She gained valuable experience in property and commercial litigation in a major regional firm in Geelong, before relocating to the Goulburn Valley to practice in 2001. During her 22 years in the Goulburn Valley, Jenny was a partner and director of 2 large firms in the area.

She developed an extensive practice in estate and business succession planning and family law matters and a reputation as a fierce advocate.

Jenny’s extensive experience and acquired knowledge of the law enables her to bring a commercial approach to resolving family law disputes and approach estate and business succession planning matters in a way that ensures her client’s interests will be protected from claims and their wealth preserved.

She understands complex business structures and the various taxation consequences that may flow from a family law settlement and structures settlements to ensure the taxation consequences for her clients are either minimized or accounted for in the overall settlement.

Jenny enjoys being proactive in client matters, particularly drafting complex Financial Agreements under the Family Law Act to ensure compliance with the Act.
